Bricole XML Session Server
The latest version of the XML Session Server is 0.9.1 and is a pre-release alpha version. Bug reports and suggestions are welcome!
Bricole XML Session Server is a Java product and thus requires a working Java runtime environment. Suns own Java implementation can be downloaded here. J2SE is enough to get started as long as you don't want to create your own server modules in Java.
To use this software you must accept its license agreement. In short, you are free to redistribute this software, but for commercial usage, you must purchase a commercial license.
You can also jump-start the application with Java Web Start. You will get a certificate warning since I haven't ordered a real certificate yet. A warning, though: there seem to be a bug that may cause the server not to shut down properly when closing the console window. You will have to kill the java process manually.
Installation in Windows should be straight-forward: just run the installer EXE and it will set up Start menu shortcuts for you.
